Position: Operations Officer

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p
Type: Exempt/Officer
Reports to: Branch Manager
Position Description
As a Citizens Bank Operations Officer, you will work closely with the Branch Manager to accomplish branch and bank goals. You will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the development, implementation, and monitoring of branch operations procedures. You will work with the Branch Manager to coordinate new system implementation and assist in analyzing and enhancing existing systems.
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides bank operations personnel with training and responds to inquiries on operational procedures and practices
- Perform standard leadership/management functions such as interviewing and hiring staff, conducting performance reviews, coaching staff to optimum performance levels, taking any necessary disciplinary action, scheduling, managing expenses, etc.
- Process all types of routine transactions, to include Wire Transfers, Bankcard Advances, Foreign Int’l Remittances, Counterfeit Note Report, etc.
- Maintain employee files, overdraft/charge-off files, branch retention management, and complete certifications and audits
- Develop, with Branch Manager, specific and measurable metrics establishing goals and defining success
- Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other banking regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years banking experience required.
- Experience operating Windows based PC, and applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Thorough understanding of all branch banking operations such as onboarding, Jack Henry, teller operations, etc.
- Experience with general office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax, 10-key, filing systems.
- Proficient knowledge of basic addition and subtraction.
