The Capital Management Team is responsible for performing quarterly Stress Testing of the Bank’s balance sheet, income statement and its capital position. The team provides senior management as well as the Board with key insights into the Bank’s performance under a range of economic scenarios. These insights and analytics inform the Bank’s capital plan and ensure that the bank holds sufficient capital to both absorb losses and service customers and stakeholders under periods of economic stress.
The team member will be given the opportunity to own the end-to-end PPNR forecasting process for a sub-set of the CFG balance sheet, and in turn will directly contribute to the Bank’s quarterly Stress Testing results. Forecasting across multiple economic scenarios, the candidate will develop deep experience of behavioral modeling, balance sheet forecasting, financial reporting and stakeholder management.

The team member will:
- Work cross-functionally to generate PPNR assumptions for assigned balance sheet and income statement line items.
- Analyze stress test results and identify key insights into financial performance and risks.
- Conduct attribution and sensitivity analysis to identify core drivers of impacts to financial results.
- Perform peer analysis of Fed-published CCAR results.
- Complete ad-hoc analyses to improve balance sheet modeling and Stress Testing processes.
Qualifications - External
- 3 years previous experience as a Financial or Business Analyst.
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Interest in financial analysis and PPNR modeling.
- Basic understanding of bank products and behaviors.
- Intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work through issues and escalate when appropriate.
- Competent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate tasks and effectively manage their time to meet deliverables.
- Basic knowledge of CCAR stress testing and regulatory capital.
- Experience with QRM is preferential.
- Experience in ALM or IST production is preferential.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Hours & Work Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40 Hours.
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday.
