Environmental Services Technician

Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center is in search of a Full Time Environmental Services Technician. Runs a Commercial Floor Buffer regularly. This position is 40 hours/week which includes an every other weekend requirement. 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Summary:

This position is responsible for floor maintenance and Janitorial tech duties. Previous experience running a Commercial Floor Buffer, 100# Lifting requirement.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

· Responsible for the general maintenance of the grounds and building

· Performs cleaning procedures and observes waste disposal procedures

· Responsible for dust and wet mopping, spray buffing, stripping and waxing floors, stairwells

· Scrubs hallway walls and baseboards as needed. Cleans elevators

· Sweeps and vacuums

· Responsible for cleaning up spills and trash

· Empties trash cans; compacts trash daily

· Sets up and moves furniture, beds and mattresses

· Transports soiled and clean linen carts to/from the units

· Dispenses soap, paper products and other EVS janitorial supplies

· Ensures the Janitor Closet and Soiled Utility Rooms are clean and orderly

· Cleans equipment as needed

· Adheres to infection control practices

· Attends In-Service training to maintain and improve competencies

• Other duties as assigned
• Must have experience with use of commercial floor buffer

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, push, pull, balance, reach, grasp, kneel, climb and lift up to 100 pounds. Exposure to blood borne pathogens, vibrating motion and chemical hazards.
