JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated Deposit Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the execution of daily responsibilities of Deposit Operations in an efficient and timely manner. The Deposit Operations Specialist will also be responsible for resolving operational problems and client issues, completing and reviewing processes to mitigate fraud and risk of loss to the Bank, and completing duties as needed and directed by Deposit Operations Manager and/or Assistant Deposit Operations Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain a basic overall knowledge of the essential duties and responsibilities of Deposit Operations.
- Perform duties that may include mobile deposit and alerts review; complete automatic funds transfers requests; process cash items; maintain CD and IRA accounts; complete GL reconciliations; verify Reg CC holds, stop payment orders and savings bond receipts; perform duties associated with ACH processing; complete wire transfer requests and research requests; complete tasks associated with overdrafts, non-posted items, charge offs and account collections; complete deposit account corrections and adjustments; and respond to IRS levies and garnishments.
- Resolves operational problems and client issues and complaints; answers operational questions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supports branch personnel by providing guidance and responses to inquires or problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Deposit Operations Manager and/or Assistant Deposit Operations Manager.

REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- 1-2 years of experience in banking or financial services.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance preferred.
General hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; longer hours and weekend work expected on occasion; travel and reliable transportation are required.
