Citizens Options Unlimited is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Person-Centered Support Worker. As a key member of our residential services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and other disabilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to individuals in their daily routines, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Assist individuals in becoming active members of their communities, maintaining and building upon natural supports and relationships.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by supporting individuals with household chores and participating in these tasks as needed.
- Follow treatment plans and utilize adaptive equipment to promote independence and ensure health, safety, and well-being.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid NYS driver's license and qualified driver status throughout employment.
- Ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives/information.
