What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Attendant position at City and County of Broomfield?
Salary Range: $15.01 - $19.51/hour
This position is scheduled for approximately 8 - 10 hours per week.
Hours vary: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Staff will be scheduled at least two shifts per week. Must be available to work a regular schedule on a year-round basis.
Cleans and maintains all areas of the facility.
Assists with birthday parties in the gymnastics center.
Monitors activity to prevent injuries, accidents, and responds to emergencies as necessary.
Enforces all rules and regulations of programs and facilities; ensures that the facility is safe for use.
Greets the public and is a visible contact for the public.
Responsible for set-up and takedown of necessary equipment needed for programs or functions.
Performs regular cleaning, maintenance and safety inspections of any equipment in the facility as directed; takes care of and stores equipment properly.
Fills out all necessary paperwork.
Assists other staff members throughout the facility as needed.
Attends and contributes at in-service training sessions and meetings.
Training –Successful completion of 8th grade.
Experience – None. Prior customer service experience preferred.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry.
- Must be 16 years of age
- Must possess a First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire, and maintained for continued employment.

The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.
Will work a varied schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Work in the Recreation Division may require indoor and outdoor activities. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand and is occasionally required to sit, talk, hear, stoop, walk, climb, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, ropes, or control, and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Will have physical demands that include but are not limited to lifting, moving and maintenance of equipment, setup and take down of inflatables. Physical demands are described as heavy (exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects).
