What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $125,000.00 - $140,000.00/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which includes but is not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at Denver International Airport (DEN) at least 3 days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
What You’ll Do
The Office of Human Resources, DEN HR Service Team is seeking a strategic, business focused HR Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is ready to contribute to the strategic objectives of DEN with a focus on consultative human resources business practices, change management and metrics with a customer service mindset.
Responsibilities
As a Manager with the Office of Human Resources, DEN HR Service Team, you will supervise Senior Human Resources Business Partner staff to ensure effective development and delivery of HR programs and services to support the business priorities. You will provide oversight and direction of human resources activities to support culture and engagement, performance management, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee relations, and more. Additionally, in this position you will:
- Supervise a minimum of three Human Resources Business Partners for consistency and excellence in the execution of business and Human Resources priorities
- Consult and provide recommendations to leaders regarding human resources matters, best business practices and organizational development consistent with the city’s practices and processes
- Partner with business leaders to foster long term successful relationships to develop strategies and initiatives that promote a culture of leadership and engagement for the entire organization
- Partner with Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Classification and Compensation, Learning and Development and Benefits to recommend and execute business solutions
- Provide data and analysis to drive business decisions and tell our human capital story
- Develop HR process improvement initiatives and monitor effectiveness of outcomes
- Manage employee relation issues and investigations as needed
About You
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for candidates that have all or some of the following skills and experience:
- At least 5 years of experience working as an HR Professional for a large complex organization.
- A minimum of 3 years of supervising day to day operations of HR professionals.
- At least 5 years of experience managing and investigating employee relations issues.
- Experience guiding workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
- Strong business acumen, HR systems, data analysis and Excel skills.
- Ability to build professional relationships with a variety of people, at all levels of the organization.
- Experience providing and receiving feedback to/from leaders and employees.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Five (5) years of professional level human resources experience including three (3) years supervising staff.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
FBI Background Check: FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
