Who We Are
The Denver International Airport (DEN) Operations division is actively seeking an Emergency Management DENtern to contribute to their division. As part of DEN's Strategic Plan, Vision 100, which envisions reaching 100 million annual passengers, The Emergency Management and Communication Center Section plays a pivotal role in transforming the aviation industry. The Emergency Management team develops both in-person and computer-based training as well as conducts Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) training and exercises. This team manages the multi-year training exercise program and oversees and assist with preparing for and conducting all emergency management exercises at the airport. The Emergency Management team also staffs the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with a duty manager for 15 hours a day and is responsible as the Incident Commander (IC) or EOC Manager for airport incidents

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive pay rate to commensurate with education. The salary range for this position is $20.92 – $23.64, based on education. Denver International Airport emerging talent positions are required to attend all sessions of professional development within the cohort model. Location Flexibility
This is an in-person position with a required 5 days in the office. Employees work where needed to support business at the Denver International Airport. We do not offer housing or relocation assistance for this position.
Internship Duration and Hours :
This position has an expected start date of June 2, 2025, with an end date of December 5, 2025. This position is expected to work no more than 39 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.
