At DEN, the Government Affairs & Global Public Policy Division (GAGPP) serves as a trusted Senior Leadership partner and provides holistic subject matter expertise, coordination, and collaboration enterprise-wide, including : focusing on multi-sector stakeholders and government officials to advance global strategy and innovation priorities; formulating and communicating on policy matters at all levels (international, federal, state, regional, local); leading the City Council Approval Process; managing its memberships & sponsorships and state & federal lobbying contracts; managing Colorado Open Records Act compliance; and advising the CEO and Senior Leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities for DEN’s strategy and future growth.
What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive pay rate to commensurate with education. The salary for this position is $18.81 an hour, based on education. Denver International Airport emerging talent positions are required to attend all sessions of professional development within the cohort model. You will be onboarded with a cohort of peers to begin to help you develop your network across the aviation industry.
Location Flexibility
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model with a required 3 days in office. Employees work where needed to support business. We do not offer housing or relocation assistance for this position.
What You’ll Do
The GAGPP team is seeking an Intern to contribute to their division. As an GAGPP Intern you will get to experience working on projects such as :
Attending, taking notes, and briefing teammates related to public policy and industry events
Conducting research and compiling information on wide range of policy issues and emerging trends
Developing organizational and technology solutions related to multi-sector stakeholder engagement
Conducting reviews and making recommendations on DEN membership and sponsorship benefits
Supporting the tracking, organization, and analysis of relevant data for DEN / GAGPP
You will be part of a nimble, dynamic, and service-focused team, led by the Vice President of GAGPP.

Education Requirement : Current enrollment in a high school program leading to a certificate, licensure, or other relevant documentation.
