What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary target range we are looking to offer is between $140,000 - $165,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to :

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced IT manager of project implementation who can, using his or her managerial and technological skills to make the team more efficient. In this role, the candidate will analyze our current solutions, systems, and assets, recommend, and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide coaching, mentoring, and training to staff.

Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Lead the PWCS project management team to assure it provides superior customer service. Acts as escalation point to handle customer issues / concerns
  • Manage the order intake and distribution to the PWCS project management team.
  • Oversee the financial procurement of projects the project management team encounters.
  • Regulated telecommunication services management. Inventory and asset management and Service provider and vendor management
  • Set goals for the team, manage individual and team performance, hold recurring one-on-one meetings with team members, develop the team through training and coaching, and lead recruitment efforts for vacant positions
  • Develop and monitor metrics for team performance and Customer Satisfaction, including service ownership for Incident Management and Service Requests to ensure they meet Business Technologies process standards and the needs of DEN
  • Participate in the development and review of budgetary requests related to the needs of the team, and delivery of services supported by the team
  • Develops goals, documents performance, provides performance feedback and formally evaluates the work of the employee; provides reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance. Assists staff to achieve performance standards and identifies opportunities for continual improvement to performance standards
  • Services include Voice, Data and Video services to DEN operations, City & County of Denver agencies, as well as via the BT Tennant Telecommunication Services (TTS) program provide IT services to DEN’s business partners including airlines, concessionaires, and tenant customers
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of strategic goals and objectives. Ensures technology goals and objectives are met and services are being provided efficiently and effectively; takes corrective action when needed

  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and methodologies (e.g., ITIL)
  • Proficiency with some or all : Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Proofpoint, Azure, AWS, Power Shell, Ansible automation platforms, terraform, PCR360 and VMWare.
  • Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience : Three (3) years of professional level information technology work at the type and level of a senior or full performance professional.
  • Experience Equivalency : One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of posthigh school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

    FBI Background Check : FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and / or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment.     Snow / Emergency Duties : Denver International Airport is a 24 / 7 / 365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees may be required to work extended hours and / or shifts.
