What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $26.26 - $39.32. Our starting salary range is $26.21 - $32.76./hr., based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
In this position you can expect to work on site at the City and County Building five days per week. Please note, the Mayor’s Office is not remote, and this position is an in-person role. We believe we can listen better, learn more, and act faster when we are able to build strong relationships in the same physical space. With this in mind, we do our work together in person. We value in-person interactions. Our office is not remote.
What You’ll Do
The Mayor's Office is seeking an Executive Assistant III. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled candidate to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and politically charged environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. As an Executive Assistant III you will be responsible for:
- Calendar & Scheduling Management: Calendar & Scheduling Management: Efficiently coordinate executive calendars, schedule meetings, arrange travel, and proactively resolve conflicts to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Administrative Support & Office Operations: Provide comprehensive administrative support, manage logistics for special events, and offer backup coverage as needed during peak periods.
- Communication & Documentation: Draft, edit, and manage professional communications, presentations, and official documents while ensuring clear and effective communication with key stakeholders.
- Boards & Commissions & Outreach Support: Assist with the Boards & Commissions process by scheduling interviews, tracking applications, and preparing necessary documentation. Support the Community Outreach team with constituent communications, development of engagement materials, and preparation for public events.
- Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective communication and serve as a liaison between internal teams, city departments, and external partners, fostering

- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Salesforce, calendar management software, and the ability to learn new platforms quickly.

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of administrative/secretarial experience which must include one (1) year of experience at the type and level providing support to a manager responsible for large, complex divisions or the highest level manager of a small organization
- Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement
