Who We Are
The Denver International Airport (DEN) Global Communications and Marketing team is actively seeking a Social Media Video Intern (nicknamed “DENtern”) to contribute to their division. As part of DEN's Strategic Plan, Vision 100, which envisions reaching 100 million annual passengers, Global Communications and Marketing plays a pivotal role in transforming the aviation industry.
Global Communications and Marketing is the voice of the airport. Our team is responsible for a myriad of creative assets and communications initiatives, ranging from the fun advertisements you see in the airport to the media interviews you spot on local and national news.
What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive pay rate to commensurate with education. The salary range for this position is $19.75 to $22.32 an hour, based on education. Denver International Airport emerging talent positions are required to attend all sessions of professional development within the cohort model. You will be onboarded with a cohort of peers to begin to help you develop your network across the aviation industry.
As an intern you will get to experience working on projects such as, but not limited to :
Producing creative content for social media that aligns with DEN’s strategy and messaging. This will include :
Researching and creative brainstorming, with an emphasis on video content.
Scripting / storyboarding videos.
Partnering with the GCM team and other teams at DEN to capture video content throughout the airport and at events using a smartphone or DSLR camera.
Editing high quality short-form videos utilizing apps or Adobe Creative Suite.
Managing the review and editing process.
Providing high-quality, on-brand assets to the GCM team.
Posting and monitoring content on social media platforms.
Managing social media engagement.
Respond to DMs and comments.
Track social media mentions.
Producing a short-form DENtern recruitment video to be utilized the following year.
Ideate, script, coordinate with fellow interns, produce / edit and provide final assets.
What You’ll Bring
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following interests, characteristics and skills :
A current student seeking a bachelor’s in Videography, Photography, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Art / Design or a related field.
Experience producing video / photo content for social media.
Skilled in copywriting, especially for storyboards and social captions
An interest in short-form videography.
A characteristic of curiosity and the ability to learn about all areas of the airport, from dining to aircraft mechanics.
A characteristic of the eagerness to learn new trends and skills and the ability to embrace challenges.
An ability to understand viral and trending social media concepts and create content that resonates with those trends.
Interest in aviation a plus.
Desired Skill Set :
Experience : Video creation experience required, no minimum time length.
Technical Skills : The ability to produce videos from start-to-finish with a smartphone or DSLR camera. This includes planning, producing and editing video content in various formats.
Relationship Skills : Ability to form positive relationships with stakeholders throughout the airport and effectively learn from them.
Creativity : Generating innovative ideas and solutions.
Time Management : Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement : This position is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited college program leading to a certificate, licensure, associates, bachelors, higher degree in, or up to one year post college graduation.
Education and Experience Equivalency : No substitution of experience for education is permitted.

Location
This position will be fully on-site at Denver International Airport 5 days weekly. We do not offer housing or relocation assistance for this position.
Internship Duration and Hours
This is a 5-day per week, 10-week internship with a completion date of Friday, August 8, 2025, with typical hours not to exceed 39 hours a week.
FBI Background Check
FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and / or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical / drug test may be required.
