What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The starting pay range for this position is $24.71 - $30.89/hour. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
This position will report to 4495 Jason Street, have remote flexibility as well as a flexible work schedule. This role will require some hours in the field which includes the parks, various locations, and occasional visits to the Denver Post Building downtown.
What You’ll Do
Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) is seeking a Staff Assistant to provide administrative support for the Citywide Maintenance team. This is a full-time, benefit-earning position.

Job duties and responsibilities of this position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Maintain, monitor and create reports specific to Citywide Maintenance budgets and expenditure controls for the department, performing and executing various financial functions on behalf of Citywide Maintenance, ensuring accuracy and completeness according to fiscal rules
- Assist with the management of DPR citywide facilities, amenities and operations. Compliance with DPR policies, rules and regulations and being prompt and professional in communication with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Assist with the development and oversight of the department’s data initiatives
- Perform a myriad of miscellaneous administrative tasks and special projects
- Evaluate operational objectives or procedures and recommend or create modifications and solutions
- Ensure DPR and Citywide Maintenance policies and procedures are being followed, helping course correct when necessary and offering helpful instruction to staff as needed

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET, or TASC Certificate
- Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience performing specialized and/or technical office support work of the type and at the level of Administrative Support Assistant IV
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year of experience
