The Honolulu Board of Water Supply, is looking for an Geographic Information System Analyst II to help design and produce routine thematic map projects and applications, research and analyze a variety of data sources, and update the water infrastructure in the GIS database.
As an Geographic Information System Analyst II your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the maintenance and quality control of the GIS database, which includes researching, reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and preparing data from as-built construction drawings, field sketches, reports, and other documents for entry into the GIS database
- Supporting BWS users and programs needed in a variety of geospatial analyses, maps, projects, and applications
- Designing and producing routine multi-layered maps, illustrations, and apps using GIS software to support GIS cartographic services for the Department
- Assisting senior GIS Analysts with GIS user support, outreach, and data maintenance and quality control
- Performing other duties and responsibilities of the position

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with major work in physical or natural science, geography, engineering, planning, computer science or a related field.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Six months of experience using GIS software in the design and production of thematic maps and other applications.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of an appropriate valid Hawaii State driver's license, as required.
