Position Information
The Department of Land Management, is looking for a Land Management Administrator to provide direction, coordination, management, and control over the functions, operations, and activities of the Asset Management Division.
As a Land Management Administrator, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and monitoring matters pertaining to the management of real property for affordable housing, transit-oriented development (TOD), and other City projects.

Overseeing the following:
- Relocation services,
- The provision of consulting services and preparation of plans relating to land management and property management,
- The preparation and maintenance of a perpetual inventory for all real property owned or controlled by the City,
- The preparation of all documents and contracts relating to the provision of property management services at City properties, including the enforcement of terms and conditions of the documents and contracts.
- Reviewing and evaluating all bid proposal documents including contracts, general conditions and specifications for property management services to ascertain propriety and conformance to existing laws, policies, and procedures.
- Reviewing regulatory requirements of federal and state agencies to ensure compliance with such on federal- and state-funded projects.
- Directing and supervising division staff in the compliance of such regulations, standards, or specifications and prepare or direct preparation of standard operating procedures to meet same.
- Addressing personnel-related issues in accordance with pertinent employment laws, policy and collective bargaining contract terms and conditions
- Conducting investigations of equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment complaints filed. Prepare testimony, represent the division, and present the division’s position in grievance, Civil Service Commission, Hawaii Civil Rights Commission, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Hearings.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of professional high-level administrative experience which included responsibility for overseeing a program related to the functional area assigned. The current position is in the functional area of asset management.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Valid Hawaii driver's license, prior to appointment.
