Position Information
The Department of Facility Maintenance, Public Building and Electrical Maintenance Division, is hiring for a Production Control Technician I position that is based on Oahu in Pearl City. The position participates in the planning, coordination, implementation, and reporting of productivity improvement systems and controls for branch activities.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participating in the development and application of time standards to various tasks, work, and/or projects including the implementation, maintenance, and modification of productivity improvement systems for various line activities assigned to the branch.
- Participating in overall maintenance improvement systems.
- Participating in the planning, development, and application of practices and procedures associated with third-party applications.
- Assisting with the preparation of all correspondence, correct and timely billing, collection, reconciliation, and deposit of third-party application and lease fees.
- Assisting in the monitoring the usage and expenditure of authorized funds to ensure adherence to programmed allotment and expenditure schedules, and to prevent lapsing of monies allocated for specific projects and purposes by generating and analyzing computerized budget reports and compiled spreadsheet information.
- Assisting with the inventory program for the branch on a year-round basis including the review, verification, and adjustment to the fixed-asset inventory.
- Assisting with the procurement and scheduling of specialized contracted services such as the inspection, maintenance, and testing of fire alarm systems, dielectric testing, etc.
Special Work Conditions: The position's work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. This position will serve as a Disaster Response Worker during declared emergencies.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two (2) years of experience pertinent to maintenance and repair of buildings and/or street light facilities, including six (6) months of experience in planning, estimating, scheduling, expediting and/or supervising the use of manpower, machines and materials.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required.
