Position Information
Just started studying real estate appraisal but not interested in writing detailed appraisal reports? Having difficulties passing the State's Real Estate Appraisers License Exams? As a Right-of-Way Agent II, you will perform technical assignments relating to the acquisition of real property and various right-of-way required for the construction of public improvements; and perform other related duties with guidance from your supervisor.
There is one vacancy with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Land Division, located in Honolulu. Under close supervision, you will assist with:
- Acquiring real property and real property interests required for the construction, operation and maintenance of the department's water infrastructure;
- Managing and recommending how to optimally utilize departmental real property and facilities by other utilities, government agencies, private organizations, etc.; and
- Disposing of surplus departmental real property and real property interests.
Special Work Requirements: Moderate walking and hiking over undeveloped lands for purposes of inspecting real property.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with major work in the field of business administration, public administration, economics or a related field.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited four-year college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Six months of professional (post-bachelor's degree, non-clerical) experience in real property acquisition and/or appraisal activities.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid driver's license (Type 3/automobile), as required.
