The Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for three (3) energetic and reliable individuals to join the team as a Cashier-Clerk at the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. Duties of the position include but are not limited to: Collecting admission and parking fees, verifying IDs, categorizing visitors, and processing payments (cash, checks, charge cards);Issuing refunds within the grace period, verifying signatures, providing receipts, and assisting with cash tape auditing;Verifying cash receipts, preparing daily reports, recording refunds, voids, and charge card totals, and assisting with audits of shortages/overages;Cleaning and closing register booths, preparing start-up cash tray for the following day, and handling visitor complaints or directing them to a supervisor;Verifying and inputting daily/monthly revenue and attendance summaries, and providing general park information to visitors;Performing other related duties as required.Special Work Requirement: Work schedule is 6:15 a.m. - 2:45 p.m., Wednesday - Sunday, (Monday-Tuesday off). May be required to work weekends, nights and holidays based on operational needs. This position also serves as a Disaster Response Worker during declared emergencies.Apply today!
