Performs specialized clerical work encompassing one or more functional areas of the real property tax program such as assessment and appraisal, delinquent tax collection, tax record searches and taxpayer services, and other related tax matters; and performs other related duties as required.
There are four vacancies with the Department of Budget and Fiscal Services, Real Property Assessment Division.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of clerical experience, one year of which shall have been in a tax field where familiarity with tax laws, rules, regulations, and procedures was involved.
Substitution: College education may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the general clerical experience requirement. There is no substitution for the one year of tax-related clerical experience.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

Desirable Experience: Previous work experience demonstrating knowledge of real property tax laws, rules, and regulations, as well as assessment and appraisal terminology and procedures. Experience in the use of a personal computer to input, edit, and retrieve data using databases, spreadsheets, word processing, or similar programs. Proficiency in using a typewriter.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE EVALUATION: In addition to meeting the above minimum qualifications, your application will be further evaluated.
