Position Summary
City Care is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support key HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and HR compliance. The HR Coordinator will work closely with leadership and employees to ensure smooth HR operations and foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Assist in implementing recruiting strategies to attract top talent for City Care.
- Manage job postings, screen applicants, and coordinate interview processes.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and support strategic staffing.
- Maintain accurate hiring records and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
HR Systems & Compliance:
- Work with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to ensure smooth payroll processing, timekeeping, benefits administration, and compliance with HR regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Assist in maintaining HR policies and procedures to align with best practices and legal standards.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR audits.
- Handle unemployment and workers’ compensation claims, including filing, tracking, and responding to inquiries in compliance with regulations.
- Manage the offboarding process, including coordinating exit interviews and ensuring the timely completion of all required paperwork and documentation.
Performance Management & Employee Relations:
- Support performance management processes, including tracking evaluations and professional development plans.
- Provide guidance and administrative support to managers regarding employee performance and engagement.
- Assist in employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive workplace environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Preferred experience working with a Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
- Familiarity with recruitment processes and performance management practices.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
