What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Manager position at City Gym?
We are currently seeking a Front Desk Manager to oversee business operations for our fitness facility. The person in this exciting role will focus on management of Operations, Membership Sales, and Facility Management. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, as well as developing and monitoring membership sales and retention.
Club amenities include the excellent fitness equipment, tanning, and a wide range of aerobics and other classes. We provide the finest equipment and fitness knowledge available, in a healthy, low-key environment. The Front Desk Manager must be able to train, motivate, delegate, manage, discipline, terminate, and be responsible for employees. The ideal candidate will have a firm but fair management style.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide a high level of customer service to all Gym members
- Responsible for daily staffing of customer service & cleaning personnel
- Develop, execute & maintain direct corporate sales programs
- Hire, train, and coach employees to their full potential
- Schedule & document equipment maintenance & repair
Skills & Requirements:
- 3 years of retail/service & personnel management experience
- Fitness certification and/or personal training experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Direct business to business sales and marketing experience a plus
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Sports Management is preferred
