Job summary
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Production for the CITY Laundering facility in Pine City. Provide leadership, guidance and oversight to direct reports. Ensure that the plant is run efficiently, is well maintained and is clean and presentable. Deal directly with the Service Department to resolve issues which may occur.
Duties and essential job functions:
*Promote and maintain an attitude of teamwork and camaraderie among Production Staff through daily interaction.
*Oversee the production processes, making sure goods are processed on time with acceptable quality.
*Set and makes sure production schedules are adhered to.
*Oversee the washroom operations and ensure that quality and efficiency is maintained.
*Regularly issue reports to upper management.
*Deal directly with the service team to ensure any problems or questions are resolved.
*Maintain merchandise expense within acceptable parameters.
*Work with the Controller to develop your budget and ensure that targets are met.
*Assist with hiring and interviewing as required.
*Assist with employee coaching as needed.
*Conduct regular and timely performance evaluations with direct reports.
*Maintain compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations that affect plant operations.
*Set and communicate quality standards and strategies to maintain these goals.
*Promote CITY’s vision, Mission, and Values throughout the organization.
*Any other duties as assigned.

Production MANAGER
Physical Job Functions:
q Unload clean laundry from truck into account’s location (use 2-wheel cart provided whenever possible);
q Manage stock inventories
q Potentially assist with unloading dirty laundry from truck;
q May load truck with clean laundry for the next day’s route:
-Pull cart full of clean laundry to truck;
-Unload clean laundry from cart into truck;
-Push uniforms from rail system to rail closest to truck;
-Load hanging uniforms onto racks inside truck;
Critical Physical Demands:
Sitting:
Frequently, for completing paperwork and tracking production standards.
Walking:
Continuously, to keep production stations stocked and to perform other
essential job functions. Distance varies.
Bending:
Continuously, to sort, count, load and unload laundry at various production stations. UP to 90 degrees flexion.
Trunk Rotation:
Continuously, to load, unload, sort, retrieve, and carry laundry.
Squatting/Crouching:
Frequently, to pick up, sort, retrieve and place laundry in bags.
Climbing:
Occasionally, up and down steps.
Reaching out/up:
Frequently, to load, unload and hang laundry up to arms length and 70 inches from
the floor.
Grasping/Pinching/Wrist Turning:
Continuously, to handle laundry, door handles, mats, hangers, bags, pen and paper,
and to drive. Power and precision grasp.
Finger Manipulation:
Frequently, to write and untie/tie cords on bags.
Pushing/Pulling:
Frequently, up to 10 pounds of force to open and close truck doors, move clothes
along rail system, bring laundry carts to truck.
Lifting/Carrying:
Continuously, up to 60 pounds to load and unload laundry lifting from floor to 70 inches. Distance varies.
Use of Feet: Frequently to walk throughout the day throughout production facility.
