We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll and Accounting Administrator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising the Accounts Payable Analyst and the Administrative Coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Process weekly payroll for over 300 employees, including withholding taxes and other deductions.
- Collaborate with Controller regarding cash handling and revenue reporting procedures; provide feedback on problem areas and make suggestions for improvement.
- Calculate wages, bonuses, and deductions based on employee schedules and hours worked.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports.
- Expertise with the POS system functions to support other departments.
- Ensures compliance with cash handling procedures as they pertain to the daily reconciling of sales.
- Makes recommendations and contributes to new policies and procedures as needed to support a multi-store format.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to Controller and Director of Finance.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
- This position is regularly exposed to organization-wide confidential information, including but not limited to: financial, personnel, customer and vendor information. A high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required
Required Skills/Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient Office 365 or related software.
- Proficient with payroll and accounting software.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- At least three years of related experience required.
