What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at City Mission Living Stones?
PURPOSE: Responsible for the general property maintenance of City Mission properties to include shelters and apartments. Experience with HVAC, plumbing and electrical needed. Responsible for interior and exterior building maintenance. Reliability and positive work attitude are required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB DUTIES: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability to perform the following duties.
Troubleshooting:
Work with the Property Manager and the Director of Operations to coordinate and carry out repairs and maintenance for City Mission’s apartments as well as troubleshoot and carry out maintenance concerns at Agency program buildings.
Facilities as needed:
Schedule and coordinate outside contractors, when necessary, at agency building to include Security Systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance repair. Maintain warranties and building maintenance files. Schedule routine maintenance on building systems. Ensure necessary safety rules are adhered to.
Janitorial Duties as needed:
When necessary, responsible for cleaning interior building community spaces including lounge areas, bathrooms, floors and carpets, offices, stairs, walkways and elevators, laundry areas, etc.
Other:
Participate as a member of the Agency Safety Committee. Participate in agency fundraisers.
MAINTANCE JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/KNOWLDEGE/JOB REQUIREMENTS
Specific Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:
High School Diploma/GED required. Ability to work independently. General knowledge of and practical skills in building maintenance. Ability to positively supervise other staff. Driver's License required.
ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Four-five years’ experience with maintenance of apartments, and other buildings.
PREFERRED JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: Four-five years of work experience as maintenance staff in similar work environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Position may require supervision of other persons including adults completing court-ordered community service through adult probation.
