Position Overview...

We are seeking a Vice President of Sales and Commercial Strategies who is not only an experienced leader in managing and developing high-performance sales teams within the wine and spirits sector, but also a strategic thinker with the ability to analyze sales data, set objectives, and implement actionable strategies to achieve sustainable growth. This individual will be responsible for defining and executing sales strategies at the regional level, analyzing results, and optimizing performance to drive both short-term and long-term commercial success.

As a key member of the leadership team, this role will report directly to the executive management and will play a central role in strategic planning and market opportunity analysis. While this position is primarily office-based, it is critical to have a leader with extensive management experience who can oversee and guide the sales team from within. This role will focus on developing and executing high-level strategies rather than direct field sales, requiring a seasoned professional capable of analyzing market trends, setting objectives, and driving the performance of the sales team through strategic direction and operational leadership. A key member of the leadership team, this role will report directly to the executive management and will play a central role in strategic planning and market opportunity analysis.


Key Responsibilities...

  • Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Define and execute sales strategies to achieve growth objectives aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop sales teams, ensuring continuous training and professional development for team members.
  • Strategic Planning: Create detailed action plans to maximize sales performance, identify new business opportunities, and optimize market reach.
  • Market Analysis: Evaluate market trends, competitive analysis, and consumer behavior to adapt commercial strategies to the sector's demands.
  • Key Account Management: Oversee relationships with key accounts and foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Technology & Tools Management: Utilize advanced analytics tools, Excel, and other office platforms for performance tracking, sales reporting, and forecasting.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure successful implementation of commercial strategies.


Ideal Candidate Profile...

  • Proven Experience: At least 10 years of commercial management experience, with deep expertise in designing and implementing strategic sales plans. We are seeking someone who is currently focused on creating and executing high-level sales strategies. Previous experience as a Sales Consultant and Sales Manager in the wine, spirits, or beverage alcohol industry is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on talent development and retention.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong proficiency in data analysis, with advanced Excel skills and digital platforms for report creation and strategy development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field. Additional studies in commercial management are a plus.
  • Growth-Oriented Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong focus on achieving sales goals and driving business growth.
