MGR POLICY/PROCEDURE GVRNNCE OFFICE 2LOD
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Reporting to SVP, Head Risk Strategy and Governance (RSG), this position is responsible for establishment of the Policy & Procedure Governance Office (PPGO) and its target operating model, inclusive of framework to manage policies and procedures, development of enterprise wide technology solution to enable effective policy management lifecycle, and oversight of rationalization initiatives at the Bank. The role provides oversight and support on Framework, Policy, Standard and Procedures development, aligned to CNB's policies on policies. In addition, this role will establish partnerships across RBC and CNB's 3LOD to enhance the policy and procedures program at the Bank.
What you will do
- Establish the PPGO, which is primarily responsible for bank-wide policy and procedure governance, rationalization, and change management
- Staff and lead a team to manage full time and/or contractor resources in policy management strategy development and implementation efforts
- Oversee development and migration efforts as it relates to policy management architecture
- Lead development and implementation of enhanced policies on Framework, Policy, Standard, and Procedures, and their templates and Policy Management Authority grid (PMA)
- Lead development and implementation of Policy Adherence program, Policy Stakeholder Impact Assessment, and Policy Implementation Plan
- Lead identification of policy and procedure rationalization efforts and provide oversight
- Oversee development and implementation of effective policy management life cycle:
- Policy Inventory
- Policy Development – Work with policy owners to engage appropriate stakeholders are identified and included throughout development
- Policy Review and Approval – Ensure appropriate reviews and approvals are obtained
- Policy Library Maintenance – Ensure all active policies are up-to-date and published to the centralized repository
- Develop and train policy owners to ensure appropriate stakeholder impact assessment and implementation plan are completed prior to policy approval
- Oversee the management, review and refresh of the “Policy on policies”, including monitoring and tracking of adherence
- Establish working group/forum to drive change through stakeholder partnerships across 3LOD and RBC Partners to implement enhanced policy and procedure programs
- Participate in key governance forums including committee meetings and initiatives specific GRC Steering Committees
- Oversee creation of periodic reporting for senior management related to the PPGO
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 12 Years of financial services experience Required.
- Minimum 5 Years of experience in Risk Management Consulting or Risk related roles in the Financial Services Industry.
- Minimum 5 Years of Management Experience Required.

Compensation
Starting base salary: $175,745 - $326,377 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
