Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Building Official, the Development Review Coordinator provides routine to moderately complex administrative and clerical support to the Community Development and Public Works teams. This position is responsible for processing development applications and plans, providing basic planning information to developers and the public, issuing permits, scheduling inspections and maintaining various department records.
Essential Job Functions:
- * Answers department telephone and emails.
- Welcomes and assists the public with information requests.
- Performs follow up on questions, concerns, and inquiries.
- * Issues all necessary permits for commercial and residential construction; collects and records permit fees.
- Responsible for coordinating and processing permits; ensure approvals are made by all reviewers
- Coordinate and processes health inspections.
- Assist the Building Official and Building Inspectors; provide administrative support.
- Provides administrative support to the Building Official/Inspector, Fire Marshal, Code Enforcement, and Health Inspector.
- Prepare and maintain permit inspection records and related reports.
- * Assists in compiling and organizing information and materials necessary for Planning & Zoning packets, the Board of Zoning Adjustment, and others meetings as necessary.
- * Collects information, updates and maintains departmental databases including MyGov and the City’s website.
- * Establishes and maintains Planning & Zoning case files.
- Enters information into the tracking software system.
- Files plats and other legal documents with Parker County.
- Assists in the maintenance and filing of all official records.
- * Performs administrative support.
- Receives and processes invoices.
- Prepares correspondence for the Building Official, including code enforcement violations and other activities.
- * Perform work on special projects; prepare any reports or presentations as necessary.
- Assists other Departments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
