Overview
In pursuit of service excellence, the Counselor In Training Coordinator provides an energetic camp environment while demonstrating a joy of interacting with children in safe and comforting environment. This position will understand how to work with and develop basic introductory camp counselor skills in teens ages 13-15 years old. This person will organize these participants to actively participate in various recreation camps. The position will provide exceptional customer service and foster a happy and engaging environment.

To succeed as a CIT Coordinator, you should be upbeat, decisive, and responsible while giving campers a fun, safe camp experience. You should also be organized and possess strong leadership skills. You will have the support of and work under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator and/or Regional Program Director. The hours will vary Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm with specials events outside of standard business hours.
Counselor In Training Coordinator:
- Assist with registration, data management, and recordkeeping
- Assist with the administration and clerical needs of the counselor in training program offered
- Supports the Recreation Coordinator/ Regional Program Director in the planning and leading camp and camp organizing
- Maintain summer camp participant information binder including collecting forms, contacting parents, developing and maintaining camper medication log.
- Attends all staff trainings, staff meeting, and participants in events and activities
- Actively monitor all campers in all areas campers might convene.
- Know how many participants are under the position’s care and know who and where they are always.
- Safely escort children to and from activities.
- Effectively communicate with supervisor, campers and parents.
- Assist in packing all materials and equipment at end of camp day and season.
- Organizes the set up and break down of necessary equipment and materials needed for instructional programs and activities.
- Responds to customer questions and concerns in a positive and professional matter.
- Function effectively as a team member
- Performs related work as required.

Minimum & Additional Requirements
High School Diploma and three (3) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. First Aid training.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with children ages 13 through 15 preferred.
