Join us in telling Amarillo's story.RESPONSIBILITIESManage day-to-day operations of all City social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn).Develop, schedule, and monitor engaging content, ensuring alignment with brand voice and communication goals.Create and edit multimedia content, including graphics, photos, and videos, for social media and marketing campaigns.Manage and maintain internal and external newsletters, including content planning, editing, and timely distribution.Create and implement paid digital advertising strategies across various platforms.Track performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement data-driven improvements.Attend events, programs, and meetings as needed to capture photos, videos, and other media content for use in social media promotion and engagement, including live coverage of City-sponsored activities.Stay current with social media trends, tools, and best practices to identify new opportunities for engagement.Collaborate with team members on cross-department projects and initiatives.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES.Must have excellent organizational skillsMust have experience in creating appealing written and visual contentAbility to communicate effectively with the public and handle confidential mattersAbility to follow and take direction in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentDemonstrates flexibility and ability to prioritizeAbility to use a computer for data entry, word processing and accounting purposes, with skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite productsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in communications, marketing, journalism, English or a related field.
