A Pool Manager employed with Ardmore Parks and Recreation is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the pool facility. This position is also responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of those employed and/or present at the water park. This position is under the direct supervision Assistant Director.The pool manager must have knowledge of water hazards, lifesaving techniques and first aid, recognize hazardous situations and adopt effective courses of action. This position also requires effective communication (written and verbal) skills and has the ability to engage positively with the Assistant Director, staff, membership and public.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Represent Ardmore Parks and Recreation with a Professional Attitude and appropriate appearance Prepare all work schedules for employees making sure a manager/assistant manager is on duty at all times Ensure assistant managers and staff are getting appropriate information in a timely manner Chemical analysis and application Insure hourly employees work no more than 40 hours per week Ensure accurate time keeping for all employees Count and confirm accurate cash handling and reporting Insure employees under his/her direct supervision are properly trained in their duties and presenting a clean professional appearance Insure proper operating condition of all equipment Handle first aid problems Maintain staff rotations and staff breaks Maintain discipline at the swimming pool facility and supervises all staff enforcing staff policies and rules Enforce the City of Ardmore Swimming Pool rules and regulations to staff and public Maintain positive public relations at the swimming pool Document and reports all disciplinary problems and accidents to the assistant Director Maintain a clean facility including but not limited to bathrooms, concessions, trash picked up in and outside of facility. Set a positive example for the rest of the staff to follow Properly oversee all opening and closing duties Other duties as deemed necessary or as required.
