About Our Opportunity
The City of Asheville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of seasonal Guest Services Representative at the Western North Carolina Nature Center, within the Department of Community & Regional Entertainment Facilities. This position is temp / seasonal, approximately 15-20 hours per week. The Guest Services Associate will provide outstanding customer service, manage ticket sales, and support daily operations and events.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience.
- Manage ticket sales and admissions, including handling cash and processing payments using a point of sale (POS) system.
- Answer visitor inquiries regarding facility operations, animal care, habits, safety and / or identifications.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed.
- Perform light administrative tasks, including data entry and report generation.
- Support the coordination of daily activities and special events.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in working order.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
