General Description and Classification Standards
The role will handle a variety of real estate transactions and related matters, including legislation, advice and counsel. Experience with real estate development agreements, purchase and sale agreements, easements and real estate closings is required. The Senior Attorney will support city boards and commissions relating to real estate matters as assigned. Applicants should have experience working with paralegals and administrative staff. The Attorney will have extensive contact with City Council, multiple city departments and the governing bodies of several other municipalities. Applicants should demonstrate superior client management, writing and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and are also required. Applicants with prior experience representing a municipality, other governmental / quasi-governmental entity are encouraged to apply.
