Position Description :
Under general direction, leads the development, review, implementation and maintenance of a document control and management process that supports utility operations and quality in conformance with quality management systems and compliance to local, state, and federal regulations.
1. Maintain a personnel risk assessment ( PRA ) and document control program including processes and tools in support of quality and compliance activities.
2. Serve as subject matter expert to instruct, advise, and direct Austin Energy staff in its PRA process, Privileged / NERC Access Authorization process, and other security requirements needed for compliance.
2. Manage records and processes required for compliance with internal, local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Conduct PRAs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, which includes identification verification and criminal background investigations.
4. Maintain quality and compliance records such as training records and PRA information for employees, contingent workers, vendors, and contractors.
5. Provide on / middle / off boarding support for employees and contingent workers, as it relates to identity verification, PRAs, training, and access authorization / revocation processes.
6. Maintain reporting and PRA program documentation.
7. Conduct training and promote strong communications to ensure the quality and integrity of program outputs.
Critical :
This position has been designated as a Critical Employee position. Critical Employees are considered necessary and vital and supports activities that impact City or department operations. This work can be done while at a designated work site or while working at an alternate work location. Critical employees who are able to work at an alternative work location are required to do so. Schedules may be modified, and employees may be reassigned to another area during extraordinary situations or emergency conditions to provide essential services.

This position is considered FLSA Exempt. Exempt employees are salaried and, except as provided, are not eligible for overtime compensation.
Travel :
If you are selected for this position, and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Safety Program, you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.
