City of Avon Full Time Recreation Department Clerk / Secretary
The City of Avon is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate for the position of full time Clerk / Secretary within the Recreation Department. Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and two (2) years clerical experience is preferred, or the equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Essential Functions: organizational skills are a must, be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills, able to read and follow instructions, and work independently.
The position will be full time Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Availability may be required for after-hour or weekend events on occasion.
A valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass all routine pre-employment background checks including a drug screening is a must.
