There are currently several part-time vacancies within our Community Resources Department . The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be valid for up to a year and will be used to fill these vacancies and can be used for future vacancies as they occur.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides group and individual instruction in athletics, games, arts and crafts, and related recreational activities.
Leads games and contests.
Leads hobby groups and youth groups.
Conducts children's activities and games of low organization.
Provides leadership in athletic activities.
Issues and receives playground supplies.
Maintains discipline.
Aids in making reports.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Licenses or Certification
- Must possess and maintain a valid American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid Card.
- Selected candidates must have a valid California ID or Driver's License.
- A Tuberculosis clearance is required as part of the physical and background process.
- This position requires sitting, standing, and walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements above and below shoulder level in the performance of daily duties.
- The position also requires both near and far vision when inspecting work and acute hearing is required when providing face-to-face service.
- The need to lift and carry supplies and other materials weighing up to 50 pounds is also required.
- Additionally, the incumbent in this position will work indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Some of these requirements may be accommodated for otherwise qualified individuals requiring and requesting such accommodations.

Salary : $17 - $20
