Under general supervision, performs work of average difficulty involving technical office and fieldwork checking development plans for conformance with City standards; preparing and checking final maps, legal descriptions, plans, and specifications utilizing computer aided drafting format and performing research of record information in the Public Works Department. Performs other work as required.

The following typical tasks and responsibilities are representative of this class. They are descriptive, not limiting. Essential Duties: Prepares property descriptions and drafts plats for annexations, public way openings and closing; Prepares descriptions both written and graphic for property to be deeded to the City; Drafts plans for public improvement districts; Prepares estimates; Calculates individual assessments; Performs research work in checking and verifying names establishing ownerships, assessed valuation and similar projects; Develops original base maps from recorded tract maps and field survey notes, data, and field survey information.For a full job description, please click here.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required. NOTE: Admission to the Examination may be limited to those applicants who demonstrate the best combination of qualifications. Applicants possessing the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed admittance to the Examination. Employment applications must be properly completed in accordance with instructions on face of application form.
