Essential Duties: Plans, supervises, and coordinates the activities of assigned staff responsible for implementing grant activities and all related reporting requirements. Facilitates project meetings, documents project decisions, progress, and next steps. Confers with stakeholders and grant partners to ensure programs/applications meet requested objectives. Creates and documents long-term strategies for project related operations. Develops and supervises the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for housing, homeless, economic and community development programs and grants. Ensures effective communication between stakeholders, and internal and external partners. Prepares grant revisions, amendments, and/or extensions as deemed necessary. Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures. Develops specialized reports, critical to quality metrics and key performance indicators related to grant funded projects. Assesses and monitors workload, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships. Participates in the development and administration of the housing, homeless, economic and community development programs and grants annual budget. Directs the monitoring of and approve expenditures; direct and implement adjustments as necessary. Serves as a liaison for the department with other City departments, divisions, and outside agencies. ORAL APPRAISAL INTERVIEW (Weighted 100%): (Tentative) An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required. NOTE: Admission to the Examination may be limited to those applicants who demonstrate the best combination of qualifications. Applicants possessing the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed admittance to the Examination.
