What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Accountant position at Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance, Inc.?
Minimum Qualifications :
- Attendance at an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or public administration or a closely related field; and 3 years of responsible experience in administrative and / or budgetary analysis, accounting, personnel and / or office management; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Knowledge of general / cost accounting and statistical principles; accounting theories and procedures; accounts payable; double-entry bookkeeping; financial reporting systems; budget preparation, monitoring, analysis and revisions; appropriate business language and report-writing methods; computer spreadsheet, word processing applications; automated office equipment and state of the art software programs.
- Ability to self-start and work independently; and maintain confidential information.
- Basic understanding of agreements, obtaining relevant information from contracts, etc.
- Must possess strong computer skills, MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe. Requires advanced Excel capabilities.
- Must possess superlative organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects / deadlines at once.
