BACKGROUND CHECK
Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and / or Fingerprint must be successfully completed.
PROBATION
All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory 6-month probation.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Data Analyst Intern with a passion for data analysis and process automation. This internship provides an opportunity to apply your existing knowledge of data tools, automation techniques, and problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios, while working within a collaborative and supportive team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Complete data analysis projects using Python, R, and / or GIS tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the design and implementation of automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to improve data processing and reporting.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance existing processes through automation.
- Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
- Contribute to reports and presentations, sharing data insights and recommendations with team members.
