Job Purpose / Summary
Assists the Pool Manager in managing staff and activities in City Aquatics facilities to assure public safety and compliance with rules and regulations; manages lifeguards, coordinates pool activities and events, and monitors the safety of the facilities and program participants.

Work is primarily performed in an office which is busy, oriented to public service and subject to occasional work interruptions. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. Occasional attendance at meetings before or after regular work hours is required.
Work Schedule
Candidates must be available to work the summer months (May - August) and in-service training (April and May) prior to the summer months. This position, depending on assignment, requires a variable work schedule, averaging 30 hours per week. The pool is open seven (7) days a week and candidates must be available to work all assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Employees are required to be in attendance and prepared to begin work at their assigned work location on the specified days and hours.
