JOB DESCRIPTION
Temporary Parks Tech
PART-TIME - TEMPORARY $15.45/HOUR - 3 month program
Deadline for application is Monday March 31, 2024 no later than 5PM MTD
GENERAL PURPOSE:Performs a wide variety of entry level semi-skilled duties related to planning, coordinating and directing all phases of park maintenance to include turf management and beautification, irrigation systems, shade structures, and construction and repair.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Performs routine park maintenance.
Performs general cleanup, maintenance, and repair of rest rooms, pavilions, playgrounds, picnic tables, benches, bleachers, ball fields and other facilities.
Performs various seasonal duties such as snow removal and weed control, etc.
Work flexible hours, days and holidays as directed.
Ensures quality customer service.
Assists with City functions and events.
Performs related duties as required.

A valid New Mexico’s driver’s license required.
Ability to work flexible hours, days and holidays as directed.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, other City personnel and the public.
Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule with minimal supervision.
Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
EQUIPMENT USED:Knowledge includes use of landscaping equipment, maintenance equipment. Knowledge on using a two-way radio, ladders, work tools, power tool.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
