The Community Services Department provides exceptional cultural, educational, recreational, and social services to enhance and maintain a high quality of life and attractive physical environment in the Beverly Hills community. The Recreation Division is responsible for researching, implementing, and evaluating a variety of services and programs for the community with the purpose of enhancing each participant's quality of life. Through collaborative effort across multiple City sites, the Recreation Division serves as a destination for educational, recreational, and cultural endeavors for all ages and provide diverse and innovative recreation and cultural programming and services for the Beverly Hills community.
What We're Looking For:
The Community Services Department is seeking a Recreation Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing youth programs including Adventure Camp afterschool day care for grades TK – 5th and 6th – 8th grade, youth and teen summer camps, Teen Advisory Committee and youth recreation special events. The position will oversee part-time staff hiring for program delivery and supervise both hourly and seasonal employees. The position may also support preschool programing as needed and may assist in facility oversight. The department seeks candidates who are able to communicate effectively, maintain flexibility among competing priorities and provide a high level of service across a range of community focused program offerings. The incumbent must be able to work well within a team oriented environment and build positive working relationships with community members, City staff, contract vendors, and other affiliated community agencies. This position will be required to commute to multiple City and school sites on a weekly basis.

- Prior public sector experience.
- Experience overseeing staff that is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
- Prior experience working with part-time staff.

Selection Process:
