The Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club is a 167-acre complex with an 18-hole championship golf course of pure paradise. The City is looking for part-time personnel who will be responsible for providing superior service while maintaining the finest amenities.

SCHEDULE
Must be able to work flexible hours between 7am - Sunset including weekends and holidays.
Up to 25 hours per week
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
The Golf Course Starter is responsible for providing excellent service to all golf course patrons. The Starter is responsible for directing players to the first tee at the appropriate tee times. The Starter must maintain accurate tee sheet records and monitors pace of play on the course. This position is required to work a combination of morning and afternoon/evening shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays. The Golf Course Starter may be scheduled up to 25 hours per week (3 shifts).
- Provides excellent customer service
- Greets and welcomes customers
- Provides golf course information to the customers
- Manages daily tee sheets using Club Caddie software
- Arranges players in proper starting order
- Verifies that all revenues have been properly charged by inspecting and reconciling receipts
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area
- Maintains accurate tee sheet records
- Monitors pace of play through turn times and communication with Player Assistance
- Proficient in all golf course policies (Golfer classifications, rainchecks, refunds, lightning safety, equipment rental, dress code, etc.)
- The game of golf and/or golf course operations
- Basic computer software, including but not limited to email, for business operations
- Golf tee time management software
- Basic math functions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
- Previous experience in customer service and golf operations preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions and animals/reptiles/insects. Must be able to stand for more than two hours at a time, stoop and bend, use manual dexterity or fine motor skills, have the ability to distinguish colors, proofread and check documents for accuracy, use a video display terminal, lift and carry articles weighing up to 20 lbs., and push/pull articles weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate City vehicles including golf cart, driving range picker and other electric or gas golf related vehicles.
