Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Assistance: Assist full-time maintenance staff in performing landscaping, grounds maintenance, and cleanup tasks, including mowing grass, trimming vegetation, removing debris, and cleaning sidewalks, to enhance the appearance and functionality of public spaces and properties.
  • Equipment Operation Support: Assist with operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and machinery, such as riding mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools, under the guidance and supervision of experienced staff members.
  • Public Space Cleanup: Participate in cleanup efforts for public spaces and rights-of-way, including litter removal, graffiti abatement, and bulk item pickup, to maintain cleanliness and compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Assistance with Special Projects: Provide support to full-time staff in special projects and initiatives, such as community beautification and neighborhood cleanup events, as assigned.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to traffic control measures, to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Typical Qualifications

  • Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related fields desirable but not required.
