Join the City of Bothell’s Parks and Recreation Department as a Seasonal Parks Planning and Capital Project Assistant and play a key role in shaping the future of our local parks! Help with community engagement, support the Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) plan update, get involved in exciting master planning, and contribute to the development of new parks and green spaces.
Note: This is anticipated to start in June 2025. This is a temporary full-time position. This position has authorized funding for four (4) full months from hire. This is also a non-represented and non-benefited position.
What will you do in this position?
- Support staff with research, preparing materials and documents, technical reporting, and other tasks as needed by regulatory agencies.
- Assist in preparing materials and presentations for various audiences, including city leadership and the public.
- Support the organization and execution of public engagement events.
A successful candidate in this position will:
- Develop and use collaborative relationships to build informal and formal teams to accomplish team goals.
- Effectively conveys information and ideas through various communication methods and practices active listening.
- Apply objective reasoning and action, maintaining perspective when evaluating both qualitative and quantitative information.
