What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Museum Aide position at City of Bowie?
The City of Bowie is accepting applications for a Part time Museum Aide to handle public visitation and lead tour groups (school and senior) at the City of Bowie Museums. Primary responsibility is to educate the public on the history of Bowie, and topics relevant to its historic sites. Other duties include, but are not limited to, preparing for and working public events, light clerical work, shop sales and operation, and readying/securing sites for opening and closing procedures. This position includes a combination of weekday and weekend hours.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Basic computer skills required
- Experience working with public
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in History or a related field
- Experience in retail sales/management
- Experience working in a museum setting
SALARY: $17.18 Hourly
