What are the responsibilities and job description for the Street Maintenance Worker position at CITY OF BRISTOL?
The City of Bristol, Virginia has several openings for the position of Laborer with the Street Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department. The Street Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the City’s streets, storm drainage systems and sidewalks. Also snow removal for the City and traffic control support during special events. Reports to the applicable supervisor or foreman.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Experience in construction and/or maintenance activities, operation of heavy equipment, or any combination of training and experience is preferred. Other requirements include a valid driver’s license with a CDL preferred. A VDOT certification in Work Zone Traffic Control is also preferred. Subject to background check.
