Job Summary
The Part Time Rink Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Larson Ice Center during scheduled shifts. This position ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all patrons while providing excellent customer service. The Rink Supervisor performs basic facility maintenance, enforces rules and assists with events and programs as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor with weights up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and perform physical tasks for the majority of the shift.
- Comfortable workings in a cold environment for extended periods.
- Must be a United States citizen. This position does not support sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in ice rink maintenance.
- Previous experience in customer service
Major Duties- (Essential Function)
- Custodial Duties: General cleaning of the facility to include: Restrooms, locker rooms bleachers and other areas used by the public.
- Equipment: Operate and maintain ice arena maintenance equipment such as ice resurfacers, floor scrubbers and cleaning equipment as needed.
- Special Events and Projects: Assist with special projects and events as needed, including setup and breakdown of equipment and facilities.
- Safety: Monitor facility for safety hazards and report any issues to supervisors promptly.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to park visitors by answering questions and providing assistance as needed.
Marginal Duties
- Attend training, seminars and workshops as deemed necessary.
- Perform all duties in compliance with safety standards and policies established by the City.
- Perform other job-related duties as deemed necessary and additional duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Demands/Work Environment (Essential Function)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms frequently.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
