PAY: $11.03 per hour
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This is a part-time seasonal position and is scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week during the spring and summer, but less than 1000 hours per fiscal year. This position is responsible for operating the concession stand at the Camp Bowie Municipal Swimming Pool. Duties include collecting monies for admission to the pool, handling monies, making proper change and completing daily cash reports. Responsible for selling concession items to the general public. Must keep the concession area and equipment in a neat and clean appearance to comply with health regulations. Must be willing to adopt and exhibit the City of Brownwood “I SERVE” Core Values.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC WORK PERFORMED:
1) Collects admission from pool participants; 2) Sells concession items; 3) Makes concession items available to public; 4) Keeps concession area clean to meet health standards; 5) Keeps records and makes daily cash report; 6) Notifies head lifeguard when rest rooms and pool area conditions need attention; 7) Keeps concession equipment in clean condition; 8) Notifies Head Concession Attendant or Head Lifeguard of situations that safety is a concern of participants; 9) Performs other duties as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Working in open building but protected from elements. Work is pleasant most of the time. Ability to sit, stand and drive a vehicle to and from various worksites. Employee will be exposed to temperatures while performing maintenance duties and be exposed to mechanical and chemical hazards. Ability to lift materials weighing up to 30 pounds frequently. Ability to bend, stoop, walk, push brooms and sweep. Ability to walk over sloped and uneven terrain. Work involves getting dirty and wet. Employee will be exposed to dirt, dust, noises, fumes, and odors. Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with the public. Ability to understand verbal and written communication.
CONTACTS WITH OTHERS:
Constant contact with the general public and other personnel at the swimming pool.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have enough education to at least read and write and make proper change.
KNOWLEDGE. SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must have knowledge of operating cash register and making proper change; Skill to operate concession machinery in a safe manner; Ability to meet and get along with the general public in stress situations and ability to control participants waiting in line for admission.
