What are the responsibilities and job description for the SENIOR ENRICHMENT CENTER VOLUNTEER position at City of Bullhead City?
Volunteers provide a variety of services and assistance to senior citizens at the City’s Senior Campus. Volunteers may assist in the preparation of Senior Campus for daily, special or seasonal activities, answer phones, greet new customers, and provides information and tour of facility when needed. May assist with cleaning, and participate in the serving of meals at site where they must adhere to policy, procedures and methods of handling, serving, portion control, and checking temperature of foods.
Volunteers may also provide delivery of prepared meals to home bound clients with the Meals on Wheels program. The Meals on Wheels program provides a nutritious meal to eligible seniors along with a daily welfare check. Valid Driver's License is needed if delivering meals with the Meals on Wheels Program. Meals on Wheels Program requires Volunteers to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
NOTE: Minimum age Requirement: 14 Years of age or older if volunteering at the Senior Campus site. Must be 18 Years of age or older if delivering for the Meals on Wheels Program.
This is a non-benefited, non-paid Volunteer position with the City of Bullhead City. All Volunteers are subject to complete a successful and thorough background check that includes a drug screen.
